In India, your meal is not complete unless you eat it with pickles (Indian Style). I just love this green chili pickle as it is without oil and guilt. Traditional Indian pickles are soaked in oils. As I am not ready to give up on my favorite pickle, I thought lets try to make it without oil. It gives me the same flavor in a healthy way.

Ingredients

10 Serrano peppers; washed, pat dry,cut lengthwise
1 tsp Sea Salt (adjust to taste)
1 1/2 tsp ground Fennel seeds (If you do not find them in an Indian Store, take the raw seeds and grind them at home)
1 1/4 tsp ground Mustard seeds (If you do not find them in an Indian Store, take the raw seeds and grind them at home)
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation

1. Take a small bowl. Add serrano pepper, salt, fennel seeds, mustard seeds,   lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and turmeric powder.
2. Mix all the ingredients together.
3. Put the pickle in the air tight jar.
4. Leave the pickle on kitchen countertop or room temperature for 2 days before consuming.
5. Enjoy pickle with your favorite food.
